So what time does that make it? Yes! Celebration time with a beer and a breakfast (meal).
Like yesterday Chicken Madras and Pilau Rice are on the menu but also naan, chicken tikka skewers and again onion bhajis with a little more respect for the meal in that for this morning only, I’ll be washing it down with a large bottle of chilled Kingfisher.
I forgot the Bombay Potatoes or saag aloo but I will remember one day.

Your curry posts are both my favorite and least-favorite (in that it’s both late here and American curries are generally not as good) posts before bed.

The cornerstone of every nutricious breakfest.
Btw, I just woke up and now I’m hungry.

Nice.
You need a good curry from time to time. Bad curries are an insult to good food. I was tempted for a Jalfrezi but thought I’d stick with Madras.
It’s 08:40 here and most won’t eat a curry in the more unless your nightshift. Many eat a curry late at night on a night out. A few beers, down to an Indian restaurant for a good curry then back out on the town for more beers.

2 cups of coffee is all I ever need. And maybe a crossaint.

Nice which is why my Tassimo has pride of place next to my computer in my bedroom.

In your bedroom? That’s too awesome.

My own little coffee shop. Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Columbian coffee, medium roast, tea, Cadburys hot chocolate, Café Long, Petit Dejeuner, etc...

My mom bought a 650€ Melitta coffeemaker. It is the Maserati among the coffeemakers. Maintenence wise. We had to send it in after two weeks because the heat sensor was broken. But the coffee is quite good.

Mine cost me £30. They usually go for anything from £90-120.
But if you keep an eye out for offers, quite often they’ll drop them down to £30-40. The good thing is they also come with £20 worth of vouchers for coffee from the Tassimo website. Yay.
It’s not by any means going to set the world alight but it does make good coffee certainly for what it is.
I’d like a proper professional coffee machine but to be honest I don’t think I’d get the use out of it, definitely not enough to warrant the sort of prices the great ones go for.

30£ is great. Imo a Tassimo is just about everything one can ever need. Having an expensive coffeemachine is not really worth it.

The coffee discs can get expensive but most markets will have them on offer from time to time and there are websites to track offers and discount codes so you can save money.
One day if and when I finally get a mancave I’d like one for the bar.

Are there any alternatives to the official discs?. That engine block coffee maker though. Holy eff. That’s a thing? I have a new want now..

Not for the Tassimo but the De’Longhi and the Dulce Gusto does and you can ever get re-useable pods to make your own coffee pods with.

Re-usable pods seem like a good idea. How much do the discs for the Tassimo usually cost?
![]() 12/30/2015 at 05:47 |

They range from £3 for Medium Roast coffee up to £4.75 for the Carte Noire Latte Macchiato (the Tassimo website is more expensive but with vouchers it doesn’t matter and when they do a free delivery (which comes from Holland and a reduced minimum order of £24 (usually a minimum of £35) before delivery.

Coffeebeans for my mom’s machine cost 10 Euros. 3-4 £ sound quite reasonable. But I can’t really judge that.

It depends on the type and flavour of the beans and where they are from.
It can take a while to find that perfect bean or perfect mix for the perfect coffee but it’s not an unpleasureable task.
Land Rover used to do a great ‘fairtrade’ coffee from Costa Rica available whole, coarse ground, fine ground and freeze dried. But early last year the importer stopped bringing it in. :(
(((Interesting fact, the majority of Series I Land Rovers from the 1940s and 1950s are still being used on the plantations because a regular vehicle capable of that terrain is too wide to get down between the vines and would mean losing vines to create a gap wide enough to get down and an old traditional cart wouldn’t be fast enough, be able to carry as much load or as versatile to farm and get the beans to market))).
Costa Rican Landie for your time.
